These classes are barre-based classes using a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training combined with high reps of small range of motion movements.We will incorporate some resistance band, light dumbbells and body resistance work at times too.
What is this barre, we are taking of? It is the free standing or mounted ballet barre seen in dance studios. Come give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
We end with a 15-20 minute yoga inspired cool down. It is very relaxing but yet very effective total body stretching. This helps to lengthen those muscles as to not make them “bulky”. And did I mention it is very relaxing??? 😉
